Not Ready For Autumn

I love Autumn.  It is my favorite season but I am not ready for it.  I'm not ready to give up summer.  We didn't get our garden planted early enough for pumpkins this year.  Wish we had some growing.  Oh, well, there's always next year.   This image is actually two GKD stamps from two different sets, Signs of Autumn and Sending Sunshine.  BG is Fiskars embossing plate.  Round DP is digital paper by GKD.

The Fruit of the Spirit

Tuesday my 6 year old granddaughter and I were picking lilies from my flower beds and making arrangements.  I was telling her why we needed to strip the leaves from the bottom of the stems.  She took them  and wrote on each leaf then poked a hole in each to string them.  She wrote a fruit of the Spirit on each leaf.  Pretty creative.
My card is also based on that scripture. I used several  digital images by Doodle Pantry.  Love PNG for that.

Every Day is Special But Especially Today

That's because it is my birthday !  When I sat down to make a card, I was reflecting on how fast time flies -62 years for me.  How did that happen.?  And how many wasted days, weeks, months, years have I spent?  So I was looking for a great saying and remembered this sentiment by Ippity.   I combined lots of challenges (some not even knowingly).  I used scraps, tags and eyelets that have not seen daylight for years.  The tag is removable as a bookmark. I tried vellum as first but it seemed too opaque so I used a piece of window sheeting.

Notebook Paper - Not Just for the Classroom

I don't think I have ever used this bird stamp.  It was a dollar purchase long ago.  It was finally time to give it a try.  I embossed with black EP.  When I saw the lines in the image, I wondered if I could incorporate some lined paper on the card.  So with a piece of notebook paper, I tried to capture some of the colors of the DP behind the bird.  The Ippity stamps of leaves and berries matched the DP and I think it all came together well.  I used the sketch at CPS.

Sew Happy

Love this pin cushion.  It is a digital by Clear Dollar Stamps.  Printed it out on red and then green in order to piece it.  Usually my stitching on cards is straight and uniform but I have seen it squiggly, so I tried it and like the results.

Flowers and Love

Flowers and love - they just go together, don't they.  This is a set by Unity.  I have very few solid stamps so this new one is going to be fun to use for times I don't feel like coloring.

Sequel to Bugs

Yesterday evening, my Knight in shining armor, did away with the hornets nest.  I was going to help him but he did not want me to take the chance of being stung again (my ankle is already half again as large as it should be). Some of you may not know what I am talking about so you will have to read my previous post.  So this card is in celebration of no more hornets (bees).
I used the sketch at CPS to create a gatefold card

Don't Let It Bug You

This is the summer for bites and stings for me.  I have been stung by hornets three times in as many weeks.  Not only do they hurt, the area swells, turns into a rash, and itches like crazy.  My DH and I are going to try to destroy the hive tonight.  It is huge and I am nervous because these guys are vicious.  But in the meantime, I made a card with a digital by Designed2Delight and a sentiment by Clear Dollar Stamps.   The flower image digital had a doodle line drawn around it, so I drew one around the sentiment on the second panel.
